Hardware Engineer
Elektromotive are a leading provider of electric vehicle recharging points and through our Elektrobay infrastructure and management systems are enabling the take up of the next generation electric vehicles. Our back office system (EBConnect) underpins the network of charge points and its ongoing development, which includes pay to use functions and integration with third party charge point networks, transport systems and energy company is critical to the future growth of the business.
Elektromotive Ltd require a technical programmer/hardware engineer with an electronics/software/firmware development background and a sound knowledge of GSM, GPRS machine to machine networks and applications, able to develop code, troubleshoot, maintain and enhance existing network based functions related to GSM/GPRS, and to implement these in to Java/C++/PHP applicable modules. The individual will also have in depth knowledge of PYTHON scripting and middleware interfacing and a knowledge of RFID would also be an advantage
The successful candidate will be part of a small development team based at our offices in Brighton but must be prepared to travel into the field, UK and overseas, from time to time. They would also need to liaise and work with clients in providing technical support and suppliers in the development of the network.
Salary £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per annum.

Field Support Engineer

The successful candidate must have a valid UK driving licence and be prepared to travel throughtout the UK and Europe. Proven experience of supporting hardware and software issues in both a remote and on-site capacity. An excellent level of technical experience installing, replacing, testing, trouble shooting and maintaining hardware and software.
The role will include providing telephone and remote assistance to clients. Attending client sites to resolve problems and install new equipment. Proactively maintaining client systems and responding to monitoring alerts. Consulting with clients to provide advice on new equipment, solutions and upgrades. Processing support requests through to completion, Recording and maintaining client technical records and documentation.
A Good general experience of supporting and troubleshooting of Embedded devices that interface with digital networks via GPRS/3G and Ethernet would be advantageous. The position requires a proactive, self-starter who can work with a good degree of autonomy and interface with our Software and System Engineers to ensure the efficient support of all our products.
