Elektromotive agrees sale to Chargemaster Plc

Chargemaster Plc, the UK's leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, is pleased to announce that is has reached an agreement to acquire Elektromotive Limited ("Elektromotive"), the Brighton-based company that was the first to introduce public EV charging stations in the UK nearly 10 years ago. The acquisition is subject to approval by the shareholders of the Singapore based holding company of Elektromotive, Elektromotive Group Ltd, listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, and this approval is expected to be granted in the coming months. > DOWNLOAD PDF

NEW EV CHARGE POINTS IN FALKIRK WILL HELP MEET CARBON REDUCTION TARGETS

Installation of new Electric Vehicle (EV) charge points has been completed at Falkirk Council’s main offices, helping to significantly reduce CO2 emissions across the organisation and achieve carbon reduction targets set by the Scottish Government. Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic developer who enjoys building great systems. Working on both back-office and front-end you will specialise in building robust and maintainable software with an emphasis on design, reliability and scalability. The successful candidate will be capable of finding effective solutions to optimise and improve performance and be excited about the opportunity to contribute to new products in an industry with high growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Technical lead within a small development team
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members
  • Responsible for full s/w development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment
  • Work closely with others in different technical disciplines
  • Evaluation of alternative technologies and solutions including those outside areas of experience
  • Communicate effectively across business functions
  • Work directly with external customers and suppliers
  • Implement continuous improvement within software development team

Skills

Essential

  • Strong core Java skills
  • Understanding of TCP/IP with experience of Java socket programming
  • Good understanding Java frameworks including Spring, Hibernate
  • Knowledge of web services with SOAP and JSON
  • Willingness to rapidly gain knowledge in a variety of technologies

Desirable

  • Experience developing rich applications with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
